Data from the manufacturer says these magnets are rated to withstand temperatures ranging from -15° F (126° C) to 160° F (71° C). Shrinkage is less than 1.5% at 158° F (70° C) in 7 days. What this means is if the magnet is kept outdoors in direct sunlight that heats the magnet to about 160° or hotter for a certain period of time it could shrink or peel. Our car door magnets are designed with a thick 1 inch border all around the edge with rounded corners. This ensures long lasting life outdoors for more than 2+ years. The white edge reflects sunlight and prevents the edges from getting too hot where they could peel away from the edge under intense heat.
